RoomSpook Launches with New York City Hotel Data
August 1, 2020 - Dover, Delaware. At launch RoomSpook LLC has data covering 150,000+ hotel rooms, 385+ hotels and 2,000 events in New York City. “It was only natural that we started with New York City hotels,” says the founder of RoomSpook. “We have been acquiring the Manhattan hotel data for over a year. Now, using RoomSpook.com, business and leisure travelers are now able to run reports on events that might have happened in their hotel room. This is information that hotels are not legally required to disclose to their guests.” The company is rapidly expanding its database to other markets.
Operation of the website is simple. Travelers run a free search to learn how many events have happened in their hotel. RoomSpook.com is the first of its kind website, providing travelers with reports of bed bugs, deaths by accident, natural causes, suicides or even murders that have taken place in a hotel of interest. Travelers can run a report on events that have been reported in their room or on the entire floor of their hotel.

RoomSpook was founded by frequent travelers who often wondered if there had been a death in their hotel room, or a bed bug infestation on their hotel floor. Hotels are not required to disclose if a death happened in a room or if there was a previous infestation of bed bugs. RoomSpook donates a percentage of every report purchased to the International Association for Suicide Prevention.
